1 hurt after Chester police chase ends in crash

One person is in the hospital after a brief police pursuit in Chester ended in a violent crash early Friday Morning.

The crash happened around 3 a.m. on the 100 block of East Williams Circle.

Police say the incident began around 2 a.m. about two blocks away from the crash scene, when an officer on patrol spotted the SUV allegedly involved in a criminal act, and attempted to stop the SUV.

The driver of the SUV did not stop, and took off at a high speed, only getting about two blocks before losing control, rolling over, and at some point striking another car.

 

Multiple police agencies responded to the crash after a police pursuit. Authorities say one person was taken to the hospital in stable condition. No officers were injured in the incident
