Kensington residents victims of car vandalism

Residents on one street in Kensington waking up to their street covered in shattered glass this morning.

Someone shattered car windows in the overnight hours and surveillance video appears to show how it happened.

It's not the start to the day anyone hopes for.

Now some residents along that street spent their day getting costs to have their car windows repaired after they were shattered.

It happened last night along the 2200 block of Memphis Street.

A neighbor shared this surveillance video with FOX 29.

Take a look.

You can see a car drive by, and once it does, the window of that parked car is shattered.

Residents say it's not clear what exactly was used to break the glass.

Despite the mess, one man we talked to, is taking it all in stride.

"Yeah it's annoying. But I mean, it's almost impossible to get too angry because there's nothing that can really be done about it. I mean aside from having an officer on every single corner 24 hours a day, which is infeasible," Albert Yee said.

Neighbors tell us police came to the scene, but authorities haven't been able to share any information about who they may be looking for.

That man FOX 29 talked to, Albert, says he's already getting prices for the repairs.

Anywhere from 100 to 200 bucks.

Unfortunately, a lot of his neighbors are in the same boat tonight.
