A gunshot detection system drew police to the scene of a deadly shooting Monday afternoon in Camden.
Officers responded to the ShotSpotter detection at 1:39 p.m. and located the victim on the 1200 block of Chase Street. There they found the 25-year-old victim, Jarrell Patterson, of Camden, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Patterson was rushed to Cooper University Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead about 35 minutes after the shooting.
