Man, 46, critical after shooting in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) -- Wilmington police are investigating an early-morning shooting that left a 46-year-old man in critical condition.

Police said they received a 911 call about a shooting victim at 6 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived, they found a man lying on the sidewalk, suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck.

The man was taken to Christiana Hospital. He underwent surgery and is currently listed in critical condition.

Police are seeking witnesses and video in their investigation. They said they had no immediate information about the suspect.

Police did not immediately release the victim's name.
