Man Charged in Death of Estranged Wife in Lehigh County

WTXF - A Berks County man has been charged with criminal homicide in the death of his estranged wife.

Gordon H. Rohrbaugh, 24, is charged in the death of 26-year-old Jillian Rohrbaugh of Whitehall Township on Wednesday, the Lehigh County District Attorney's office announced Thursday.

Whitehall Township police responded Wednesday to a report of a suspicious death and found the victim with an electrical wire wrapped around her neck and her mouth taped, with a sock in her mouth. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gordon Rohrbaugh was taken into custody Thursday and will be processed in Lehigh County Central Booking.

The Rohrbaughs were married in June of this year, but had since separated.
