Man robbed, assaulted by police impersonator in West Phila.
WEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Philadelphia Police are investigating a robbery committed by a man impersonating a police officer in West Philadelphia.
The incident occurred at 8:41 p.m. Sunday at South Concourse Drive and Belmont Avenue.
Police say a black male impersonating an officer and driving a black Ford Explorer with flashing lights posed a robbery with a semi-automatic weapon.
The man is described as being in his mid-30s, with a dark complexion, unshaven facial hair, and wearing all black.
One victim, a black male, was struck once in the head with the weapon and was taken to Penn Presbyterian. No information on his condition.
No arrests have been made.
