Man shot in 7-11 robbery in Upper Darby

Upper Darby police are looking for the man they say shot a 7-11 clerk during a robbery Thursday night. Police Chief Michael Chitwood referred to the assailant as an "urban terrorist."

According to a police report posted to Twitter, the incident took place at 10 p.m. Thursday, and the clerk had been shot in the leg, after which he was transported to Presbyterian Hospital. After the shooting the suspect left the store.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, with a stocky build, wearing an olive green zip-up jacket with a gray logo. The lower half of his face was covered with a black cloth.
