Man struck and killed by dump truck in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - A man has died after he was struck by a dump truck in North Philadelphia Friday morning.

The crash occurred near Whitaker Avenue and Luzerne Street around 8:37 a.m.

Police say a dump truck traveling westbound in Luzerne Street struck a pedestrian while making a right onto Whitaker.

The victim, a 40-year-old man, was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

No arrests have been made.
