Man's body allegedly dragged from Holmesburg building, left on sidewalk

Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was allegedly dragged from inside a Holmesburg building to the sidewalk.

The incident occurred Thursday evening. Just before 6:30 p.m., paramedics were called to the 8000 block of Frankford Avenue.

They discovered an unresponsive male lying on his back on the sidewalk. He had trauma to the forehead and blood coming from his head.

The victim is an unidentified male in his 40s-50s.

His body was discovered just feet away from a building that has a dentist office and apartments. Surveillance cameras on the building were covered by cloth, but there were other surveillance cameras surrounding the building.

As of now, there is no word if those cameras captured anything.

While investigating, police received information that the victim's body was dragged from inside the building and out the front doors. The person who informed police described three people - two males and possible a female - that dragged the body and left him there.

Police also received additional information that around the same time, two individuals were seen climbing out a rear window from the building and getting in the bed of a pickup truck.

Police have taken two individuals, a male and a female, into custody as persons of interest. They are currently being questioned at homicide detectives. At this point, they have not been arrested, but are being questioned in this suspicious death.
