Minor Injuries Reported to Resident and Firefighter in Warminster Fire

Officials say a number of minor injuries were sustained in a house fire in Warminster, Bucks County early Thursday morning.

Police officers on routine patrol stumbled across the home in flames on the 1200 block of Newtown Road around 12:40 a.m.

Authorities say, the officers approached the house and discovered a man lying unresponsive on the front porch. The officers then immediately began CPR and reported the fire.

The man was taken to Abington Hospital, and is expected to be okay.

Fire officials were able to get the fire under control quickly, but one firefighter was taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion, and asthma type symptoms. He is also expected to be okay.

A kitten also suffered minor burns and was turned over to Warminster Animal Control.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
