Mom crossing I-676 with teenage son struck and killed; drivers sought

- Police are asking for the public's help locating two vehicles wanted in connection with hit-and-run that claimed the life of a 46-year-old mother in Camden, New Jersey.

The incident happened around 4:45 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 12.

According to police, Crystal Kelley was driving northbound on I-676 when she was involved in a crash that left her GMC Terrain disabled in the left lane against the median.

Police say Kelley and her 13-year-old son then exited the vehicle, climbed over the median and proceeded to walk across the northbound lanes of the highway.

Kelley was struck by three vehicles as she attempted to cross, per police. The second vehicle remained at the scene after the crash, but the first and third vehicles fled the scene. The victim was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Kelley’s son sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the initial crash, but was not injured while crossing the highway.

The first car that struck Kelley is described as dark in color. The third vehicle was described as a dark-colored Nissan Maxima, model year 2009-2015.
