New Jersey police solve harassment case after suspect flees traffic stop

- State police in New Jersey solved a harassment case after a suspect attempted to flee a traffic stop.

When a trooper attempted to stop a black Ford Focus in the area of Broad Street for a traffic violation, the driver stopped his car and fled on foot. Troopers quickly caught the man, identified as 20-year-old Garrett Conley of Hainesport Township, New Jersey.

Upon further investigation, troopers determined Conley was the suspect in an ongoing harassment investigation.

On the night of Tuesday, October 3, two teenage girls reported that a black sedan followed them for nearly 15 minutes as they drove their car throughout the township.

New Jersey State Police have charged Conley with eluding, resisting arrest and obstruction as a result of the traffic stop, in addition to harassment as a result of the October 3 investigation.

Conley currently awaits a bail hearing at the Burlington County Jail.
