NJ Transit to Restore Service on the River Line Sunday at 5 p.m.

NEWARK, NJ — (WTXF)--Beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday, NJ TRANSIT will restore regular service on the River Line between Walter Rand Transportation Center (WRTC) in Camden and the Trenton Transit Center (no service south of WRTC). Trains will operate every 30 minutes until 7 p.m. when service will operate every 15 minutes to accommodate customers returning from Philadelphia. When service is restored, Papal tickets and all other valid tickets will be accepted, including MyTix and Family Supersaver tickets.

NJ TRANSIT is able to resume service early due to light ridership on exclusive Papal trains, which have been operating since Saturday morning. It also ensures that all River Line equipment will be in proper position for the Monday morning peak period when full service resumes between Trenton Transit Center and Entertainment Center Station in Camden.

Additionally, manual ticket sales for Sunday travel on the River Line has been extended until 5 p.m.
