Officers find 3 apparent overdose victims in Feltonville, 1 dead

Philadelphia police are investigating an apparent drug overdose after one person was found dead and two others were hospitalized.

Police found the victims inside a garage of a home on the 400 block of East Eleanor Street in the city's Feltonville section just before 3 a.m. Friday morning.

A 38-year-old man died, and two other people were taken to the hospital. One of them is listed in critical condition.

Investigators say the owner of the home where the victims were found came home to find the 2 of the men unconscious and one semi-conscious. The homeowner only knew one of the victims personally and is cooperating with police.

While police do believe the incident was the result of a drug overdose, they cannot say for sure. None of the men showed any signs of trauma. Drug paraphernalia was also not found at the scene, according to Chief Inspector Scott Small.
