Officers Follow SUV From East Germantown Shooting, 3 Wounded Inside

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF)- Police say drugs may have been at the center of a triple shooting in East Germantown.

The incident occurred on the 5500 block of Crowson Street just before 1:00 a.m.

25 shots were fired in total.

24-shell casings were from an assault rifle, while one was from a semi-automatic handgun.

When police arrived on scene they couldn't find any victims.

Soon after, officers witnessed a red SUV running red lights, and they followed it to Einstein Medical Center.

Three shooting victims were inside the vehicle.

Two men are in critical condition, and a woman is stable.

Police are interviewing the driver of the SUV.
