Man killed in Norristown hit-and-run; suspect sought

Montgomery County police are investigating a hit-and-run that left one man dead in Norristown Sunday morning.

Officers responded to the scene near the intersection of Main and Markley Streets just after 4 a.m.

Officials say the vehicle fled southbound on Markley Street into Upper Merion Township after striking a male pedestrian.

According to investigators, the vehicle--possibly a silver SUV--is likely to have damage to the front passenger side. Parts of the vehicle's bumper and wheel may also be missing.

Police have not yet identified the victim.
