Pedestrian struck on Roosevelt Blvd., driver returned to scene

Philadelphia Police say a hit and run driver had a change of heart and returned to the scene of a crash after striking a pedestrian late Wednesday night.

The accident occurred on Roosevelt Boulevard near Southampton Road in Northeast Philadelphia around 9:30 p.m.

Police say the driver returned to the scene after the crash. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police have not said if the driver had been arrested.
