Police: 1 man dead, another injured in North Philly shooting

Police are investigating after a double shooting in North Philadelphia left one man dead and another injured.

Shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to West Cumberland Street, where they found a 37-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead a short time later.

A second victim, also a 37-year-old man, was also injured in the shooting. He was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Police say at least one shell casing was recovered from the porch of the home where the deceased victim was found.
