Police: Armed Robbers Pretended to Be Officers in NE Philadelphia

- Police are looking for two men they say robbed a man at gunpoint in Northeast Philadelphia.

The incident occurred at a business on the 100 block of Geiger Road around 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

According to police, the owner of the business was sitting behind a desk on the second floor of his show when two men stormed in the door.

The men, one of them armed with a gun, ran into the office and yelled 'cops,' before forcing the owner to the floor.

The suspects then bound the man with zip ties behind his back, and sat him in a chair demanding money and drugs.

Police say the suspects stole$1200 from the man's wallet, and attempted to find cash elsewhere in the building.

At some point during the robbery the owner asked the suspects where their warrant was, to which the men responded, "we are going to get a warrant."

The suspects then fled in a dark colored vehicle, heading east on Geiger Road.

No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made.
