Police: Crash kills 2, injures 2 more in South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Authorities say an early-morning one-car crash on a south Philadelphia road has left two people dead and two others injured.

It happened just after 2:30 a.m. Friday on Christopher Columbus Boulevard. Police say a Mazda carrying four people crashed into the side of a building.

Investigators say a man and a woman in the backseat of the car died at the scene and two other women were hospitalized. Police didn't immediately disclose their conditions.

Officials say the building the car hit appears to be structurally sound.

The crash remains under investigation.
