Police investigate burglary, broken window at Center City store

Police in Center City are investigating an early morning burglary at a popular department store Tuesday.

Officers responded to a burglary alarm at Boyds on the 1800 block of Chestnut Street.

When officers arrived they found the front window of the store shattered, and a mannequin lying on the sidewalk. Several other items in the front of the store were also knocked over.

A car bumper was also found on the sidewalk next to the shattered window.

Investigators say it is unknown if anything was taken from the store.

The investigation is ongoing.
