Police investigating shooting that left man injured in Delaware

NEW CASTLE COUNTY, Del. (WTXF) - Police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured in New Castle County Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred in the area of Lea Boulevard and N. Market Street according to the preliminary investigation.

At 4:00 p.m. Friday, Wilmington Police Detectives responded to Christiana Hospital in reference to a shooting investigation.

When they arrived, they met with New Castle County Police officers who found the 24-year-old male victim at a residence on Pyramid Avenue in Claymont, Delaware suffering from a gunshot wound to the right shoulder.

He was taken to the emergency room and is in stable condition.

Officers responding to the reported shooting scene were not able to find any witnesses or evidence.
