Police: Man, 26, critical after shooting in Crescentville

Police are investigating after an overnight shooting in Crescentville left a man critically injured.

Around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to Roosevelt Boulevard and F Street, where they found a 26-year-old man laying on the center median of the roadway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.

The victim was rushed to Einstein Medical Center, where he is listed in critical condition.

Police say at least 15 shots were fired from a large caliber semi-automatic weapon.

Witnesses say the victim ran across six lanes of traffic before collapsing on the median.

Authorities are in the process of combing through surveillance footage from the area.

No arrests have been made at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
