Police: Man, 27, arrested for attempting to lure 14-year-old girl in NJ

CAMDEN CO. (WTXF) - For the third time in two weeks, authorities have arrested a man for attempting to lure a minor to engage in sexual activities in Camden County.

Curtis Woods, 27, of Voorhees, believed he was chatting with a 14-year-old girl he met online. His explicit messages, however, were being sent to an undercover officer.

When Woods arrived at an agreed upon location in Runnemede on Friday, in the midst of a snow storm, he was met and arrested by law enforcement officers.

Curtis Woods was charged with second-degree, Attempted Criminal Sexual Assault, Attempt to Endanger the Welfare of a Child, Attempted Criminal Sexual Contact.

A pretrial detention hearing for Woods is scheduled for Wednesday, March 7.
