Police: Man fatally beat girlfriend in Germantown

GERMNATOWN (WTXF) - Philadelphia Police have arrested a man they say killed his own girlfriend in an incident in Germantown early Friday morning.

The incident occurred inside a home on the 4600 block of Greene Street around 10:40 a.m.

Police say a 47-year-old man assaulted his girlfriend, a 24-year-old, inside the home. The victim was pronounced dead on scene by medics.

Police have taken the man into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
