Police: Man wanted for multiple robberies in North Philly

Police are asking for the public's help locating a man wanted in connection with multiple North Philadelphia robberies.

On December 19, police say the suspect entered a Metro PCS on the 2700 block of North 5th Street. While inside, the suspect began looking at iPhone cases and told the employee behind the register that he wanted to purchase one. As the employee turned to face the suspect, he demanded the money from inside the cash register.

The suspect then pulled a knife and again demanded the money. The employee complied, giving an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect from the register.

The suspect then fled the store and was last seen north on 5th Street.

On December 23, police say the same suspect entered a cell phone store on the 300 block of East Tioga Street. After an employee told the suspect the price of an iPhone 8, the suspect allegedly said the price was too much and pulled a knife on him, demanding money from the cash register.

After refusing his demands, the suspect lunged at the employee. The suspect then fled on foot after the employee gave him an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect was last seen north of B Street.
