Roommate Charged in Cheltenham Stabbing

Cheltenham, Pa. (WTXF) Cheltenham Township Police say they have charged a man in connection with a stabbing that sent one man to the hospital early Wednesday morning.

According to the Cheltenham Township Police Department, officers responded to the 500 block of Davis Road for a report of a stabbing and found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The victim was transported to Einstein Hospital where he’s currently listed in stable condition. Policesay the suspect, who is the victim’s roommate, was located inside the residence and was taken into custody.  The suspect was transported to Abington Hospital for evaluation. 

According to police, 45-year-old Joo Yul Choi is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering, terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime and harassment.
