Police Seek to Identify Suspect in September Center City Stabbing
CENTER CITY (WTXF) - Homicide Detectives in Center City are looking to identify a man they say fatally stabbed another man back in September. The city is not offering a $20,000 for information leading to the arrest of this suspect.
The stabbing occurred back on Thursday, September 24 th , around 6:42 a.m. at Broad and Arch Streets.
Police say William Vaugh, 47, was stabbed in the chest at a SEPTA bus stop, and later died from his injuries.
After combing through surveillance footage, Philadelphia Police have no released images of the suspect, as he boarded the subway at Tasker/Morris Station, and got off the subway at Race/Vine Station.
The suspect has been described as a black male, possible in his 40s, standing between 5'7"-5'10" tall, with dark brown skin, and possibly an identifying large bottom lip.
Police believe the man could possibly be homeless.
