Police: University of Delaware student robbed at gunpoint on campus

Police are investigating after a college student was allegedly robbed at gunpoint in Delaware.

A 21-year-old student was walking toward Thomas McKean Residence Hall around 2:30 a.m. when he was allegedly approached by two men in a campus parking lot.

One of the suspects allegedly pointed a semiautomatic handgun at the victim, and the other tackled him to the ground. The victim's wallet reportedly fell out of his pocket, and one of the suspects picked it up while the other demanded that he hand over his cell phone. The victim complied, and both suspects fled the scene in an older model gold or tan Chrysler sedan. The victim was not injured.

One of the suspects is described as standing around 5'10" tall with an average build and a long beard. The second suspect is described as standing around 6'4" tall with an average build.
