Police: Woman fatally stabbed in Philly cemetery

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Authorities say a woman who was repeatedly stabbed in a Philadelphia cemetery has died from her injuries.

The stabbing occurred around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities say the 33-year-old victim was stabbed three times in the left side by someone she knew. That person took her to a hospital, but she was pronounced dead there a short time later.

The names of the woman and the person who stabbed her have not been released. Authorities also have not said how the woman knew the suspect.

A motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.

Charges are pending against the suspect.
