Radnor Man to Head to Trial on Child Sex Abuse Charges

Radnor Township Police say 60-year old Charles Robinson sexually molested a family member . The child was only 13.

Robinson appeared in court Thursday, covering his face, smashing a camera, and shoving a photographer on his way in the door.

According to FOX 29's Dave Kinchen, Robinson will now face seven charges as he heads to trial.

Investigators say the alleged abuse went on for 4 year, between 2010 and 2014, when the family lived on Shamoney Road in Radnor. Police say the abuse started with Robinson giving the victim massages.

"From the behavior it would progress to, different sex acts."

Radnor Township Police Commissioner William Colarulo says it got so bad, that Robinson tried to get in the shower and in bed with the family member.

"It progressed to the point where it was basically hellacious and unbearable for our victim," Colarulo said.

The family member finally contacted Chester County youth services who contacted Radnor police..

Investigators are asking for the public's help to see if anyone else was victimized.

"We know through investigation Mr. Robinson had affiliation with Boy Scouts of America, youth groups and basketball. He was involved in a lot of programs.

This Included adoption services here at Church of the Savior in Tredyffrin Township. The executive director would not go on camera, but said news of Robinson's arrest was both surprising and disturbing.

Radnor Police Superintendent William A. Colarulo and representatives of the Delaware County District Attorney's Office announced the charges at a press conference Wednesday.

Robinson is due back in court February 3 rd .
