Robbery, assault suspects sought in West Philadelphia

Two men are on the run after police say they robbed and beat another man in West Philadelphia late last month.

The incident occurred back on August 26, just after 8:00 p.m., when Philadelphia Police say a 26-year-old man was walking on the 4800 block of Florence Avenue and was approached by two unknown black males from behind. They pushed him to the ground and threatened to shoot him if he didn't give them his belongings.

The suspects then struck the victim on his face causing a laceration to his left eye. They grabbed the complainant's cell phone and wallet then fled. They were last seen heading towards Baltimore Avenue.

The victim was transported to Presbyterian Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

Police describe the first suspect as a black male, 20 years-of-age, thin build, wearing a black t-shirt, brown shorts, and may have a tattoo on his right bicep.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 20 years-of-age, thin build, wearing a white t-shirt, brown shorts.
