Selection Sunday puts Villanova, Temple, and St. Joe's in the March Madness mix

- With Selection Sunday done and over with, the NCAA Tournament is all ready to kick off this Tuesday.

Three Philadelphia-area university teams made the cut this year – Villanova, Temple, and St. Joe’s.

Villanova – who lost the Big East Tournament to Seton Hall on Saturday – is seeded at #2 in the South Region. The Wildcats will take on UNC-Asheville in Brooklyn on Friday.

Also in the South Region are #10 seed Temple. They will play #7 Iowa also in Brooklyn on Friday.

If Villanova and Temple win their respective matches, the two Philly-area teams will face off in Brooklyn on Sunday.

St. Joe’s is seeded #8 in the West Region. They will play #9 Cincinnati in Spokane, Washington on Friday as well.
