Serial rape suspect arrested in Media Borough

Authorities in Delaware County announced have the arrest and conviction of suspected serial child rapist in Media Borough.

The announcement came at a Press Conference held by District Attorney Jack Whelan and Chief Martin Wusinich of Media Borough Police Department Tuesday afternoon.

Hugh Taussig-Lux plead guilty to a series of charges including rape of a child, corruption of minors, indecent assault of victims less than 13-years of age, and sexual assault, back on February 24.

After an 18-month-investigation, authorities uncovered a series of assaults that occurred over that period with 12-victims ranging in age from 12-15-years-old.

Investigators say the majority of the assaults took place in the defendants apartment located on the 100 block of East Baker Street in Media, starting in the summer of 2014, until his arrest in May of 2016.

Authoritues say Taussig-Lux hosted parties at his apartment, and say he would regularly furnish alcohol, marijuana and other illegal drugs to juveniles as young as 12-years old.

Taussig-Lux was sentenced to 13 and a half to 27 years in State Prison in addition to 8-years of probation, and also lifetime Megan's law registration.
