Shooting leaves 1 dead, 2 injured in Southwest Philadelphia

Philadelphia Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and hospitalized two others in Southwest Philadelphia Wednesday night.

The shooting happened just before 7 p.m. at the intersection of 66th and Greenway Avenue.

A 27-year-old man was shot multiple times and was rushed to the hospital by responding officers, but later succumbed to his injuries.

A 26-year-old man is in critical condition after police say he was shot multiple times in the body, while a 31-year-old woman was shot two times in the right leg, and taken to the hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
