WILLOW GROVE, PA (WTXF) - Friday morning, hundreds of people will begin their 60-mile, 3-day journey to raise money and awareness in the battle against breast cancer.
Participants in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day have spent countless months training and fundraising for this weekend’s trek.
Approximately 400 participants will embark on a 60-mile trek starting in Willow Grove on Friday, and ending in the Navy Yard on Sunday afternoon.
Each person at the walk needed to raise a minimum of $2,300. In Philadelphia, since 2003, the walk has raised more than $68.1 million.
