SEPTA Releases Video of Olney Bus Assault

Philadelphia Police are searching for a suspect who was caught on camera attempting to pick the pocket of a bus passenger- who then assaulted the victim both on and off the bus.

According to video released by the police, the incident took place at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday on the #26 SEPTA bus, going Eastbound on Olney Ave. towards Front Street.

When the 65-year-old victim was getting off the bus, the suspect reached into the victim's pocket. When the victim grabbed the suspect's hand, the suspect pushed the victim off the bus and then hit him several times in the face and head.

The second half of the confrontation as captured by a second, outdoor camera, police said.

Police are asking the many witnesses to the confrontation to come forward with information, as well as any other video footage
