Police investigate suspicious incident in Medford Township

The Medford Township Police Department is investigating a suspicious incident in the area of Big Chief Trail.

Police say an unknown male approached an 11-year-old girl in the area of Big Chief Trail around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 23 when she was walking towards Hiawatha Trail.

According to police, during the brief encounter, the unknown male engaged the female in conversation and reached for the girl's arm and she pulled her arm back. The unknown male subsequently walked away from the girl, police say.

Police describe the man as being a 5'10" white male in his mid to late 40's, thin to medium build, short black hair with a white stripe in the front which was slicked back, and he had gray and black facial hair. He was reported to be wearing dirty blue jeans, discolored brown work boots, and a long sleeve grey thermal shirt.
