Teacher charged in alleged sexual incidents involving teenage students

Authorities in Montgomery County have charged a middle school teacher in connection with two alleged incidents involving sexual contact with two female students.

Jason Todd Gattuso, 39, of Chalfont, has been charged with felony statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, institutional sexual assault, corruption of minors, and related charges.

Investigators say Gattuso met both female students, aged 14 and 15 at the time, while he was working as a social studies teacher at Springfield Township Middle School. The alleged incidents took place in a number of locations including his car, one of the victim's homes, and undisclosed locations, according to authorities.

Gattuso was arraigned and bail was set at $500,000.
