Teen, 22-year-old woman injured during Wilmington shooting

Two people were injured in Wilmington late Friday night following a shooting.

The incident occurred on the 600 block of N. Jefferson Street at 11:45 p.m.

Officers responded to the scene for reports of a shooting. When they arrived they found a 15-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen area.

He was treated on scene and then take to Al DuPont Hospital for Children where he Is listed in critical condition.

A second victim, a 22-year-old female, was taken to Wilmington Hospital by private vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower extremity area.

There is no suspect information at this time.
