Temple Owls Ranked #22 After Saturday's Win

Philadelphia's own Temple Owls have broke into the Associated Press' Top 25 for the first time in 36 years.

The Owl's were ranked as the 22nd best team in the country in the latest polll which was released Sunday afternoon.

The ranking comes just a day after Temple earned their six win of the season over the University of Central Florida by a score of 30-16.

Two other teams in the American Athletic Confernce also made their way into the rankings, including Memphis at 18, and Houston at 21.

Sunday morning the Coaches Poll also ranked Temple at 24.

The Owls, led by head coach Matt Rhule, spent last week on the verge of the Top 25, as they were ranked 26th.

Temple is 6-0 this season, and will be on the road to take on East Carolina this Thursday night.
