Temple releases surveillance pictures after racial slurs reportedly discovered written on car

An investigation is underway after a member of Temple's Black Student Union reportedly spotted a car with a swastika and a racial epithet carved into the snow on top of it.

The car was reportedly parked on the 2100 block of North Carlisle Street, and was discovered by Temple student Kelly Dawson who is also president of the campus Black Student Union.

Temple Police released surveillance pictures of persons on interest regarding the situation on Saturday.

The university also released a statement:

Temple University condemns the use of these symbols and language in the strongest terms, The incident has been reported to Temple University Campus Police and is actively being investigation. The university will make every effort to identify those responsible, and will hold them accountable.
