Three Young Men Wounded In Two Separate South Philadelphia Shootings

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF)-Philadelphia Police are investigating a violent night in South Philadelphia Tuesday.

Three people were injured in two separate shootings that were separated by just 12 minutes.

The first of the two shootings occurred on South 30th Street at 11:42 p.m.

Police say two men, ages 20 and 22, were sitting on their front porch when someone shot at them.

The 22-year-old male was shot in both legs, and the 20-year-old was shot in the back and foot. Both were transported to Temple University Hospital's Episcopal Campus in stable condition.

A pregnant woman came narrowly avoided being struck as she came outside right before the shooting started. Another person inside the home avoided injury after a bullet entered the home through the window.

Investigators say a total of 24 shots were fired in the incident.

The second incident occurred on the 1500 block of Woodstock Street at 11:54 p.m.

Police say a 21-year-old male was shot in the leg, and showed up to Methodist Hospital a short time later.

He was listed in stable condition.

Investigators say they believe they two incidents are not related.
