Trader Joe's Issues Cashew Recall Over Salmonella Concerns

Trader Joe's has announced a recall of a certain brand of Raw Cashew Pieces, due to concerns over salmonella. Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware are among the states listed for the recall.

According to the announcement from Trader Joe's, the company's supplier has alerted them that one specific lot of the pieces- Trader Joe's Raw Cashew Pieces (barcode number 00505154)- may be contaminated with Salmonella. All have been removed from store shelves.

"If you purchased any Trader Joe's Raw Cashew Pieces with the specified lot code, "BEST BEFORE 07.17.2016TF4," please do not eat it. We urge you to discard the product or to return it to any Trader Joe's for a full refund," the company said on its site.
