Two arrested in stabbing death of transgender woman

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Philadelphia Police have arrested and charged two people in connection with the stabbing death of a transgender woman late last month.

Tiffany Floyd, 24, and Jose Pena, 19, have been charged with murder and conspiracy in the death of Maya Young.

Officers responded to the 4900 block of Griscom Street back on February 20 th around midnight for a report of a stabbing. When they arrived on scene they discovered the 25-year-old young suffering from multiple stab wounds to the neck and chest on the 4800 block of Penn Street.

Young was transported to Frankford Aria Hospital where she later died.
