Two officers injured in South Philly crash

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Two Philadelphia Police officers are recovering after they were involved in a crash early Friday morning.

Investigators say a driver slammed into their patrol car at Broad and Snyder Streets around 2:00 a.m. after the other driver ran a redlight.

Both officers, a man and woman from the third district, were taken to the hospital but were not seriously injured.

The driver of the vehicle that struck them also avoided serious injury. Investigators have not said whether or not he will face charges.
