Weather Authority: First day of summer to bring peeks of sunshine

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Summer has arrived in Philadelphia and we're kicking things off with a pleasant day!

Some parts of the Lehigh Valley started summer off with a chance of a quick morning shower. Otherwise, things are expected to be off to a bit of a cloudy start.

We're expecting the sun to peek out later in the day Thursday with highs in the mid-to-low 80s throughout the area.

Things will cool off a bit for our second day of summer on Friday with a high of 76 and some showers expected.

Saturday will warm back up with a high of 82 and some showers and storms possible. Sunday we'll see plenty of sun with a high of 86!
