Woodbury man arrested on charges of sexually assaulting child

A Woodbury man was arrested Friday on charges of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 16 on multiple occasions in 2014 and 2015.

According to a press release, Juan Campos-Morales is now in custody at the Salem County Jail in default of $250,000 bail.

A Woodbury school teacher initially received disclosure of the alleged abuse, the press release stated.

Campos-Morales was arrested by officers of the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office and the Woodbury Police Department.

Additionally, federal immigration authorities have been notified of Campos-Morales's arrest. He is a native of Guatemala who is believed to have been living in the United States illegally.
