Lower Makefield police search for suspect in Kohl's smash and grab

- Police say they are investigating a smash and grab at a Kohl's in Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County.

It happened shortly after 3 a.m. on December 28.
According to police, an unknown male smashed the front glass entrance doors of the Kohl's Department store located at 1641 Big Oak R. Police say once inside the store, the suspect smashed the jewelry counter and took several pieces of jewelry, including black diamond collection jewelry, Citizen Eco watches, and other items.
Investigators say the total value of the items taken is to be determined but believed at this time to be between $60,000 and $100,000.
The suspect appeared on store surveillance video. He is believed to be a male wearing a cloth mask,
dark colored hoodie jacket with white draw strings, gray Nike sneakers with an orange Nike swoosh. Police say he wascarrying a yellow handle sledgehammer that he used to smash through the front doors and counters. He was
also carrying a canvas tool sack.
Police are asking the public's assistance and anyone who may recognize this suspect or have information
related to the crime are asked to contact Lower Makefield Detectives at 267-274-1160. In an emergency call
