Man accused of groping woman during massage at nail salon

Radnor Township, Pa. (WTXF) Police say a man has been charged for allegedly groping a woman during a massage at a nail salon in Radnor Township.

"I was just checking my phone and it popped up on Radnor Patch," said Kim Shaud. She was sitting in the Blooming Nail Salon on East Lancaster Avenue in the Wayne section of Radnor Township when she read a disturbing alert.

"It's shocking because I've been coming here a long time and I love it. It's close to my house and they do a good job and I was actually looking forward to that massage today," said Shaud.

Radnor Police say an employee at the nail salon who gave massages for tips is now in custody and charged with indecent assault and harassment.

The suspect is 31-year-old Jaime Tzompantzi-Chacon. Two women who were at the salon together for a manicure called police yesterday to report that Chacon had allegedly groped one of them.

"This male employee reached around in front and groped her breasts while he was doing the back massage," said Lieutenant Anthony Block with Radnor Police. Friday afternoon police identified Chacon and arrested him around noon at the nail salon.

Katie Doherty works at Aux Petits Delices French Pastry shop a few doors away and says she saw the arrest.

"First they brought him out in cuffs and then they carried out a backpack into the car," she recalled.

Police say the suspect worked primarily at the Wayne location but also at the other Blooming Nail Salon in Newtown Square.

"We want the public to be aware that he was working there for the last four years and if there are any other victims contact the police department," said Lieutenant Block.

The suspect was arraigned Friday evening. Bail was set at 25,000 dollars but police say he's not eligible to post since he was also found to be in the country illegally. Immigration and Customs Enforcement are also investigating.
